Ms. Velvet's Express Stop

It was my first time there and definitely my last. They took my order, but kept repeating back the wrong order while I was waiting. I ordered an iced vanilla Chai and a turkey and cheese sandwich. They kept asking if I'm waiting for a hot Chai and ham and cheese. I kept repeating my order in a polite way and they kept choosing not to listen and after 25 minutes, proceeded to give me the wrong order. They also acted very superior. I tipped 30% at the beginning because it was my first time there. I usually tip 50% and I'm glad I didn't this time. Definitely not worth it.

The owner of this place thinks they are above the law, the employment laws, and the 13th amendment of the U.S constitution. Today I found out they have 2 different signs 1. We are not responsible for your personal belongings 2. Bags and back packs not allowed in the bathroom. The first sign is limited to if i leave my belongings on my own free will however. Leaving my bag outside by force legally makes businesses accountable by Pennsylvania state law when the business does not offer an alternative to securing customer belongings which this business does not do. Policies does not supersede the law anymore than laws can supersede the U.S constitution. P.S I am a business and non profit owner and I follow every business law on all levels of government, you should try it sometime.

Such a useless store. Arrived by bus for a rest stop, the cook took 20 damn minutes to make a bacon egg and cheese sandwich that never arrived. One worker who was free refused to clock in to assist the staff in cooking. Left without the sandwich because the bus was leaving, and the store simply kept my money. Hated the experience, would not recommend as a quick stop because it is everything but.

Went in to ask to use the bathroom. I have a medial condition and they told me I had to buy something in order to use the bathroom. First that's basically extortion. Quid pro quo. In order for me to use a restroom I needed to purchase something. Great customer service. I wouldn't recommend wasting your money where they can't even be decent enough to let someone with a medical condition use the restroom. Customer service should be top priority. Not being concerned why I am using the bathroom.

Been here multiple times and never have had an issue until today. Ordered a egg and cheese croissant which was delicious as usual, however I wanted to try a cinnamon roll and it was stale. When I told the young ish blonde at the register she instantly got defensive and said that's how it comes and you can't get a refund. I said I'm not paying for food I can't eat. She states well you already paid there's nothing I can do. I told her her attitude wasn't ok and to get someone else to assist me. Shortly after she makes an announcement at 12:16pm JUST A HEADS UP WE CLOSE AT 1 O CLOCK TODAY. A mature woman came out the back and handed me my sandwich and was extremely polite and offered me a substitution which was another, fresh item. I probably won't be back if that young woman is working the front. Absolutely not.
